Blue Zone created this wonderful mural to commemorate their time at Benton Dene School. Each pupil had an area to add their own design. The mural now proudly hangs in the BDS Café!

On Tuesday 21st March 2023 pupils from Benton Dene School performed at the Whitley Bay Playhouse. All children did extremely well at learning the choreography and having the confidence and resilience to go up on stage for such an event! Well done!

A special thanks to the Greggs Foundation for deciding to support our school in providing breakfast to our pupils. To celebrate, some of the staff from Greggs came to school and brought some breakfast treats. The pupils all loved having breakfast together with the staff! 

On the 26th September 2022 the children celebrated international day of languages. We learned about the different ways to communicate and how all of these ways should be celebrated! The children worked hard to learn the signs to the song, ‘brave’. We feel it really represents our children and school. We hope you enjoy it!
